My family started the tradition of getting in the car and going to look for Christmas lights when I was a small child.
We would drive all over the valley, which was significantly smaller, and there were only a few houses with lights, but I loved it.
We bundled up and snuggled in and the festive feeling of Christmas radiated into the air.
We have carried this tradition into our own little family.

These were the girls favorite houses.
We usually go every Sunday evening.
We make hot chocolate and grab our blankets and set out in our pajamas.
But Brent has worked Sundays the last few years, so we go on whatever day we feel like it!!
Some days more than once a week!
Some weeks more than twice!!
